What Makes Us Green
- recycle all soiled unusable linens to the Animal Shelter to be used as cleaning rags or beds for pets
- eco printing (vegetable ink, recycled paper)
- all shipment packaging is reused or recycled. Our packing peanuts from Eminence Organics are 100% biodegradable and "disappear" when water is added
- environmentally friendly cleaning supplies including laundry detergent, dish washing liquid, recycled toilet paper, floor cleaners
- peaksaver thermostat
- eco friendly light bulbs
- you will often find our lighting to be minimal to reduce energy consumption
- we do not use disposable plates or glasses to serve snacks, beverages and lunches to our our guest
- We make an initiative to reduce the number of disposables used in our treatments.
- Microfiber clothes and towels are used opposed to cotton wipes.
- We offer reusable individual footwear for clients that can be laundered or encourage them to bring their own as opposed to disposable slippers
- use and sell organic products in all of our treatments whenever possible
- We do not offer paraffin treatments in our spa due to the petrochemical. Instead we offer a luscious, silky yogurt moisture treatment
- All of our polishes are free of formaldehyde, toluene and DBP
- support green initiatives in our community
- reduce the usage of paper promotions (send our newsletter via email) And use social media
- recycle, in addition to recycling skin care product containers we recycle paper and glass in the spa.
- 100% recycled brown paper shopping bags (See our initiative reward for returned shopping bags)
- Equipment all on power bars and unplugged completely at night.
- We do not run our air conditioning at high levels and air is shut off each night to avoid wasted energy
- We are in the process of creating a program to reward our clients that take the green initiative to their appointments such as walking, riding bike or soon to be announced exciting idea!!!
- Clients who return with shopping bags still in pristine condition to be reused will be rewarded a 5% discount on service bill
- We remind clients to use water wisely when in our establishment with our visual reminders to "use water wisely" signage
- Water left from our daily water pitchers is used to boil kettles for tea water the next day
- We do not burn candles or tea lights in our establishment to avoid chemicals released into the air. We use battery operated candles to enhance our atmosphere lighting
